Honoring Our Departed Shipmates
We want to maintain the camaraderie forged at sea and keep our shipmate network strong by establishing an official USS Platte (AO-186) Association. This will allow us to stay close, support our shipmates throughout the year, and engage in community services.
Proposed membership fee will be $60 annually and will enable the Association to serve those who were aboard the USS Platte – Fifth and Finest.
More details will be provided at the reunion.
As part of our reunion, a special In Memoriam presentation will be held to honor and remember the shipmates who served aboard USS Platte (AO-186) and have since passed away.
To ensure that every departed shipmate is recognized with the dignity and respect they deserve, we are compiling information about those who are no longer with us. If you are aware of a former crew member who has passed away, we respectfully ask that you submit their name and any available information, such as the date of passing, photographs, obituary, or memories you would like to share.
